Somatic Yoga Flow For Highly Sensitive People | Xude Yoga with Xā

If you've ever been told you're too sensitive, you feel too much, or you need to toughen up.. this practice is for you. I want to be honest with you.. I am new to somatic yoga. I discovered somatic movement while searching for a deeper way to help release what yoga alone wasn’t reaching.

So what is somatic yoga? Somatic yoga is the practice of moving from the inside out. Instead of focusing on how a pose looks, somatic movement asks you to focus on how it feels beneath the surface, in places where tension, emotion, and stored experience actually live.

The word somatic comes from the Greek word soma meaning body. It is the practice of returning to your body as a place of wisdom rather than a problem to be solved. For highly sensitive people and empaths this practice is especially powerful because your nervous system absorbs more than most.

Somatic yoga gives that nervous system somewhere safe to exhale. In this flow we move through gentle somatic healing exercises, nervous system regulation, intentional breathwork, and grounding movement to help you release stored tension, decompress from overwhelm, and come back to yourself.

This is not a push through practice. This is a come home practice. Perfect for: highly sensitive people, empaths, somatic healing beginners, and/or anyone who absorbs the energy of the world around them and needs somewhere safe to exhale.

Please be gentle with your body during this practice, and find your flow at your own pace.
